I honestly didn't think this would happen, though it was on my mind from time to time, the un-timely end to my experiment. After going to get some ice cream, I return home and find it a bit peculiar that I hear no Nyans. A bit shocked, especially since I had become so accustomed to hearing the repetitive music, I turn on my monitor only to see the screen above. The infamous Blue Screen of Death. Now having lost my record of time, and all my progress, I was unsure of what to do. I just stared at it, my mind trying to comprehend what had happened. The last time I remembered was about 750,000 seconds of Nyan, one quarter away from 1 million Nyans. I was unaware what overtook me next, but the next thing I knew, I was dancing about relieved to never have to listen that repetitive techno music ever again! Sure, it can be tuned out, sure it can also be turned down, but eventually too much is too much. I had garnered a constant headache from listening to it, and once the music stopped, my headache was lifted. So happy to never have to listen to this again, really you have no idea. Once you start memorizing the background beat to songs, you know you've had too much. And with that, now I'll be viewing how my life returns to the norm after such an event. Will high beat techno songs make me cringe from now on? That and many more things I'll be looking to find out.

Long over due updates are long over due. Though I can woefully inform you that I have indeed continued listening to the hypnotic call of the Nyan cat. Although you can imagine my suffering is great (It is, I've already gotten a chronic headache from this) the toll isn't only being taken upon me, but my computer as well. As it turns out, my computer isn't too fond of playing nothing but Nyan cat all day for over a week now. The entire time not having the chance to power down... Yeah, everything is pretty slow and there's noticeable lag as I type these words. Computer aside, my family hasn't heard the cat (Mostly in part that the Nyan isn't at a volume that can be heard from outside the confines of my room) and most everything else is going just fine. What I have noticed though is the increasing lack of self control over doing homework, I mean I was bad before but now it's getting outrageous! Homework isn't getting done while listening to this cat, the only thing that can get done is a stroll over to facebook or other things that require little if any brain power to accomplish (Like cleaning up my room, or procrastination!). Reading has also become rather hard, though not completely impossible to pull off. By trying to block the cat from ever entering my thought cycle, I can read other blog posts and regular news without much interruption. Regardless, I'd still prefer to not have to listen to this cat any longer...
Apart from that, I'm also very interested in doing some research on how sounds and music affect the human thought processes and behaviors. Of course, I have already experienced my own experiments first hand, but I shall strive forward! So far from research I've found out that yes sounds and music can affect behaviors, such as listening to country music for extended periods of time has a high chance of bringing on depression. (Links to be found and later edited into this post.) Though the most interesting finding to date for me has to be the concept of making your body do things based on subliminal messages hidden in sound. One example is of a Japanese researcher who created a 30-second ring tone of what would sounds like a horribly played rock guitar, when in actuality, there's a subliminal crying baby hidden within the sound waves. That subliminal messaging is enough for that if a woman were to listen to said ring tone 20 times a day for 10 days, her bust size would increase 3cm due to the maternal instinct of hearing a baby crying out for nutrition Original post (possible NSFW) . I just found that rather interesting... o_o"

I've Nyaned for seconds.
At this point in time, I'm going slightly crazy from listening to the meows and up-beat techno brought forth from the menace of Nyan Cat. Sadly, I am going to have to take a break from the nyans to recover the lost timer. As it turns out, while I was away, someone else used my computer, and did the most logical thing while at my computer: Closed the window that contained Nyan Cat. Saddened (except not really) that I have to take 2 days to refil my timer (the window with Nyan is currently muted and will stay muted long enough for me to regain my sanity) So until then, I'll stay lower key on the Nyans and focus more on the logical research behind the effects of sound on human behavior. (This are big effects.)

Now onto day 2 of this Nyan cat craziness. (Actually it's the morning of day 3, I would've posted earlier, but I fell asleep to the soothing voice of Nyan Cat) Now when I first started this project, I loved Nyan Cat and everything he stood for. Poptarts, Toast, catchy techno music, pooping out rainbows, everything. Now that I've listened to him for these many hours, he's starting to get on my nerves. I'm trying to just tune out all the Nyans, but after awhile it just gets to you. The hypnotic "Nyan" of the cat. I am prevailing though, so far it's only slightly affected my work ethic, and I still continue to read my countless RSS feed updates as if nothing were to have changed. Although, other videos are hard to focus on when all of their sound has been drowned out by toast cat. He's still "Nyan-ing" away, forever pooping out rainbows in space. And with that, I'll continue listening and post an update later.

As part of an English essay that needs to be written, the objective was to do something you dislike or annoys you for a week. Being the silly person that I am, I chose to listen to the famous "Nyan cat" for a week. This involves me listening to the "Nyans" every chance I'm at home, and since I'm usually always on my computer when I'm at home, I will be listening to his insistent "Nyans" for about 60% of my time. As the week goes by, I'll be chronicling how well my work ethic goes, as well as my sanity. As of this very moment in time, I've reached 1985 Nyans, and it's starting to annoy me. Originally I found the beat and tempo quite catchy, but now it's turned into small rainbow kittens flying around the insides of my ear drums. Is it next week yet? D:
